UNCG Rugby Workouts, 3/3/11

Last workout of the week. Bring the intensity to the gym and to training. This is going to be an awesome weekend.

Warmup: 3 rounds of {10 inch worms, 10 situps, 10 squats}

Strength: 3 supersets of 12 Incline Bench Press BB/Bent Row BB. Use the same barbell for each of the exercises.

Metabolic Conditioning: Complete as many rounds as possible in 7 minutes of {7 DB Swings 35#, 7 Burpees}.

Lancaster Park in Christchurch was seriously damaged in the earthquake and will not host any more Super XV matches this season.

When I heard the news of Christchurch being hit by a 6.3 earthquake on February 22, 2011 my first thought was everything will be alright. I then started to see the images and hear the reports about the city that I called home during high school. The devastation is immense and many people have died, but yet the resilient Kiwi spirit is kicking into gear and Christchurch is putting the pieces back together. Please if you are able donate to the Red Cross and please keep all those struggling with loss in your thoughts and prayers.

  1. Supersets: 30# 30# 30# Still getting used to lifting with one arm. Im sure i looked very interesting to people in the gym today

    WOD: 8.5rds. Very intense and fun. Didnt know if i could pull off one armed burpees, but i did…….they suck…….royally.
