UNCG Rugby Workout, 12/17/10

This is going to be an interesting after yesterday’s workout. Focus on form first on the lifts.

Warmup: 3 min row/run; 10 BB front squats, 10 pushups, 20 situps, 20 back extensions, 10 lunges each leg

Strength: 5 sets of 3 Front Squats. 5 sets of pullups to failure. Any method that is listed below.

Metabolic Conditioning: 5 Rounds of {5 50# DB Squat Clean, 10 Burpees} Scale as necessary, this is a heavy squat clean when you take into account fatigue and the unbalanced nature of dumbbells.

    Strict Pullsups: 11,7,7,5,5

    WOD: Okay so 50# DB’s are ALOT heavier than i thought. This was an intense wod that i underestimated. Im happy with my time though. Really had to focus to keep form on point. Except for 4or 5 reps id say it was pretty good.
