UNCG Rugby Workout, 12/1/10

Warmup: 3min Row/bike/run, 10 front squats with bar, 10 lunges each leg, 10 tuck jumps, 10 pushups, 10 hang straight leg lifts

Strength: 3 supersets of 12 {DB Incline bench press, chest-to-ground pushups}, 5 sets of 5 front squats, 5 sets to failure of wide grip strict pullups.

Metabolic Conditioning: As many rounds as possible in 7 minutes of {14 lunges, 7 burpees}

  1. supersets, press # 30, # 35 on last set
    full pushups

    front squats- first time i did them, went for form, bar, 55,55,65,65

    pull ups,
    3,2,2, five with assist, five with assist

  2. DB incline & hands off pushup super set: #30, 35, 35

    Front Squat: #155, 175, 185, 185 185

    Pullups: 11, 7, 6, 5, 5

    WOD: 11rds. Pretty happy with the workout. Would liked to have gotten 12 but i very much underestimated the toll lunges would take after the strength workout. Kept a good rhythm the whole time and only paused twice. Definitely an intense sprint workout.
