CrossFit Greensboro and UNCG Rugby

CrossFit Greensboro will be working with the coaching staff of UNCG Rugby to provide Strength and Conditioning for the Fall 2010 Season. With a jump from in divisions, G Rugby is looking to put itself on the front foot in the Spring by doing the hard work in the fall. With busy student schedules, the workouts are being developed to be done quickly and at high intensity in the Rec gym with minimal equipment.

Monday’s Workout postponed until Tuesday because of Labor Day:

Warm-Up: 20 squats, 20 Jumping Jacks, 10 Lunges each leg, 10 deadlifts @ 50% of 1RM. Lift: 5 sets of 5 deadlifts @ 75% of 1RM with each set starting 60 seconds apart. Workout: 5 Rounds for Time. 1 Round = 10 x 45# Thrusters & 10 Burpees.

Optional Sprint Workout: Warm-Up: 800m Run. Workout: 7 x 40m Max Effort Sprint with 120 sec recovery.

  1. Got a time of 6:13. Plate thrusters are no joke especially after the type of dead lifting we did. Need to work on my intensity of thrusters felt good about the burpees.
